This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data within our mobile application in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

1. Data Controller

2. Personal Data We Collect

To provide and maintain our services, we collect the following types of information:

Account Data: Username, email address, and profile pictures provided through Google Sign-In or manual registration.

Location and Network Data: IP address, Country, City, and Region. These data represent your approximate location and are used strictly within the app for security, user verification, management, and to prevent abuse or terms-of-service violations.

Device Identifiers: Unique device IDs used for session tracking and managing push notifications.

User-Generated Media: Profile photos, profile cover images, and images attached to horror stories.

3. Data Storage Infrastructure & International Transfers

Your data is handled across a hybrid infrastructure to guarantee security and performance:

Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Authentication): Used for secure account authentication, database management, and hosting user profiles and comments. Firebase infrastructure may store data on servers located in the United States and globally.

Private Local Cloud Infrastructure (LoveGamingEma Server): Media assets (including profile pictures, profile covers, and story-related images) are transferred securely and stored on our private encrypted home-server environment. This infrastructure operates on a dedicated Linux Ubuntu environment via CasaOS and a private WebDAV storage protocol.

Cloudflare Tunnels: Connection and data transfer between the application and our private storage infrastructure are fully routed and encrypted end-to-end via Cloudflare network tunnels to ensure zero public exposure of the server architecture.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on official third-party services to run our application safely:

Google Sign-In (OAuth): For secure authentication via Gmail accounts.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): For sending push notifications regarding community updates or staff communications.

Google ML Kit (Translation API): We use Google ML Kit to provide text translation services within the app. Text content submitted for translation is processed by Google to provide the service. No personal identifiers are linked to translation requests.

5. COPPA Compliance (Children's Online Privacy Protection)

Horror StoryLGE is strictly intended for audiences aged 13 and older (or the applicable legal age in your country). The application features horror-themed narratives and community interactions that are not suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it from our servers immediately.

6. CCPA Rights (California Residents)

If you are a resident of California, you have the following rights:

The Right to Know: You can request disclosure of what personal data we collect and how we use it.

The Right to Delete: You can request the deletion of your personal data.

No Sale/Sharing of Data: LoveGamingEma does not sell or share your personal data with third-party advertisers or brokers for monetary or commercial gain.

7. GDPR Rights (European Users)

In compliance with European regulations, users have the right to access, rectify, restrict, or object to the processing of their personal data, as well as the right to data portability and total erasure ("the right to be forgotten").

8. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Your data will be retained securely as long as your account remains active. You have the full right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can execute this instantly through the "Security & Privacy" section within the app settings, or by submitting a written request to lovegamingema@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently wiped from both Firebase and our private storage systems.

9. Community Safety & Moderation

To ensure a safe environment for our users (PEGI 16), chat messages and user-generated content are subject to moderation. We collect and store chat logs to investigate reports of abuse, harassment, or violations of our Terms of Service. Users can report any inappropriate behavior through the built-in reporting system.
